Default 1931 v8 clutch finger adjustment, how?

I have read all of Toms articles and done v8 searches but I cant find what I need.

Is the adjustment done approximately the same way on a v8 clutch? And is the 5/8 inch still the correct number to use for a v8 clutch?

The engine is out of the car.

Which "V8" clutch are you using? ----from Ford clutch/trans book
9" -- 11/16, .340 gauge plate (clutch disc thickness compressed)

10" -- 15/16, 295 gauge plate

11" ---7/8", .365 gauge plate

the gauge plate takes the place of the clutch disc, it you are using a clutch disc rotate disc 1/3 turn reassemble and recheck to elimenate clutch disc thickness variation

or do you mean the early V8 clutch that was baisically the same as "A", or a 60hp??
