Your right, my pea brain didn't think Lincoln. The 1934 Lincoln Brunn Victoria that Wayne Carinni bought on "chasing Classic Cars" would replace my 33 Roadster especially when he got rid of the white wall tires and put the black top on it, he really made that car a "KILLER"!!!!

'36 Roadster. Serious rubber rake with a chopped Carson-style removable top and a full race flathead under the hood. Dream car.

Ah yes, but a '34 is a V-12.

About everything is just a dream now.Hard to believe that a lot of my dream cars now that I am retired were obtainable with my paper route earnings 55 years ago. If money was no object and plenty to be had I would have a 46-48 Sportsman.I was close to getting one 1974-75 it went from Zanesville Ohio to Michigan and sold for $6,000. Another one that was on east coast was for sale at $10,000 and it was fully restored. I was so sure I would have a Sportsman that Tom Garrett the authoritive from North Carolina signed me up to the Seventy One Society. A lot of money back then when same money would have bought a very nice new car or even a 289 Cobra at their rather brief low point. A 32 5 window would be next on my list, again hard to believe the ones around in high school but way out of my retirement cost of living. I have always loved the 1931 Model A Deluxe Phaeton, this is the one that appears to sit lower on the same chassis as all other Model A Fords including the 1930 Deluxe Phaeton. Last on my bucket list with a great big hole in it is the car I turned down about this time 50 years ago,a Sunbeam Tiger. The day after Thanksgiving in 1964 I was 18 years old with a very good job/apprentice and ordered a 1965 Mustang. It took until St.Patty's day 1965 to take delivery. Had to sell it 6 months later as my new government induced wage was less than my monthly payment.

Ya' Know, this sort of thing is just a fantasy. Ever since I was in high school in the late '50's, my dream car was a '36 3-window with a "full-race" Merc engine, '39 hydraulics, a '39 floor box, and 4.11 gears. About 20 years ago, I realized my dream. I drove the car for 4 years and sold it to somebody else who just had to have it (he later sold it too). My problems with the car? Too cramped inside, and the engine overpowered the drive-train (which I took some care to build). I'm probably the only guy ever to be happy to see my "dream car" go down the road. I think that the '51 club coupe that I have had for almost 30 years and is a completely civilized car may have had something to do with my decision.

A 35 or 36 3-window coupe with a hopped-up flathead and overdrive transmission works for me.

Right now I dream of a 32 roadster with a hemi. No fenders but the hood is on, but blistered for the motor to fit. Backed up with a 4 speed and I would be more than a happy man.

My V-8 would easily be a 1933 3 window coupe. Black paint preferred.

I loved the '40 FORD pickup I had from 1990 to 2009. But, now that I got the '36 Ford Cabriolet restored and running I love it more! Got it in '87 as a Basket case & got it on the road in 2011. I can't see me parting with it NMW!
