Door post striker plate pocket?
Still working on my '31 delivery and am looking to maybe replace the "pockets" that the door striker plate goes in. I have a '31 pickup and It looks like it might be the same except that it is in behind the metal door post whereas the delivery has no metal post so it is just bolted into the wood. It is about 1" square or so, flanged on three sides with a larger flange where the latch strikes and has serrations in the bottom to hold the striker plate in position. The two I have are rough but fixable if necessary. Just wondering how difficult it may be to find a pair of nice ones as I have no idea what models they came on. I know they are NOT on my '31 fordor or '28 tudor.

I also am missing one of these pockets, and it seems they are impossible to find. So hang on to yours. I think I’m going to have to fabricate mine.

Re: Door post striker plate pocket?
Did you check with Berts in Colorado?. I would have thought they might have them but, if you haven't checked there, I won't call them until you get a chance to check. I can fix mine if necessary but if you are missing one altogether I would rather you get one if they are THAT hard to find.
