Default 1957 Fairlane 500 brakes

Has anyone bought the powerbrake system from Speedway? Thinking I might convert the front brakes to discs too. My 57 has a basic master cylinder but looks like it had power brakes at one time. There is some additional pegs on the brake pedal that look like they had something hooked to the brake pedal arm under the dash. Also I think there is a plate on the firewall that looks like an added cover for something that was removed.

New purchase so I am not overly familiar with this car and what they had on them originally.

Appreciate any help.

I don't know about Speedway, but I've had good luck with American Brake System.

http://www.abspowerbrake.com/maincat...ameset012.html out of CA.

Also have seen many good reports about Master Power Brakes.

I not sure about 57 wheels, but on my 55, the center hole on the wheel is smaller than later models. Some kits using stock spindles move the wheel out 1/8" or so. Not necessarily a problem either way, but worth asking about.

Between N.C. and SoCal, shipping won't be much different.

I've got in-laws in Glen Ulin, west of Bismarck.
