I guess there is no more of the Engine Spray Paint at Bratton's. Walt told me today that there is no more in the spray can because the factory burned down.
And they are not getting any more fro what I was told. BUMMER! That was some great paint! But if you have an extra unopend can that you can spare...Please let me know. Thanks. I have just enough to do my block to match the rest of the "green" parts! Pluck

Good Morning...You might try SPACE AGE PAINTS in Mesa, Arizona. 480-835-0971. They are an above average operation and many Arizona Model A types purchase paint there. Ernie in Arizona

There were a couple threads about this, I think as far back as January. I wonder if there was a run on the paint after the news broke.

I started getting cans from Bert's. It's very close to Bratton's but not a perfect match. It does smell a hell of a lot better though.

I always found it easier to apply with a brush.

The only supplier of the correct spray Ford Green in spray is Bill Hirsh. The other greens are no where near correct. I can get the spray from Hirsh, around 25 to 30 dollars a can, including shipping.
What I do is buy a pint can of the brush on from Brattons, which Hirsh makes, and use a Preval spray bottle system. You can buy the Preval paint system on Amazon.com for 6.20 a can. Works great. Or you can brush it on. Go to the Bill Hirsh web site for instructions for mixing and use or give me a call. I use the Preval system on engines, intake manifolds, (good for 700 degrees), water pumps, transmissions and any place you need the Ford green. I buy from Brattons so I can get it pint cans, which I don’t think Hirsh sells, plus the shipping in probably better, especially when it is in a regular order. Either way a little effort is needed. The problem is as I see it; years from now every one will think you have the wrong color, because they will have gotten accustomed to the wrong color. |

Hey, Pluck,
I have a couple of cans from Berts, I’d be happy to send one over if it would work for you, free of charge. Just let me know where to send it.... |

I don't know the difference in brands. I just bought some from The Early Ford Store in San Dimas, CA. http://www.earlyfordstore.com/produc...oducts_id/7100
