Since the best place may be one where you can pick them up and save shipping you might want to include your general location in your profile. There is also sometimes the option to pick up tires at the major swap meets and save shipping.

You may want to check Summit Racing-they offer free shipping for orders over $100. Here is a link:

OMG Charlie....don't even suggest to some of these folks who post here to include their general location in their profile or Avatar!! . Some of these folks are totally emphatic about remaining anonymous. I'm also beginning to think that some who post here may just be too embarrassed to let others know their approximate global location!! .

And......it's such an amazingly simple concept! I've been watching this going-on for a bit now, and can only shake my head. DD

It must have something to do with being in the witness protection program. Only logical reason I can think of.

I live near you in TN. Your best bet is to buy them from Summit, or have a friend from out of state order them from Coker, and pick them up on their behalf. If you are in Columbia TN Coker tire is roughly 2 hours away.

I just got 4 600*16 WW Coker Classic radials from Summit from their Nevada location and they arrived in two days....no sales tax and no shipping. They also have bias tires for this application. Don't see how you can beat this source.

Bob, I'm guessing yours would come from their Talmage Oh. location, so a short shot to Tn.

Dick.

TN sales tax is 9.25% (I think). I usually have a friend call them that lives in Georgia and I go pick them up and pay in person.

Bob,
I am certain you are quite intelligent enough to figure bottom cost to your door. That being the case, check out "total" price for a set.
Hey, if you don't want to share where you live, so be it. Does it really matter? I don't think so.
As you know, regardless of who is selling them, a Firestone (ex) tire is made by the same company so to reiterate, it all comes down total cost and service
Coker offers good service as do most likely other sources.

Bob, my comment earlier in this thread was not really directed toward you....I already knew where you are located anyway. The location on an Avatar is important when trying to advise someone where to find a service or some type of part they are looking for. A good recent example of this was the new guy here looking for someone to rebuild his truck shocks, and he was hoping to find someone close to his location. Only problem was....he didn't have his location listed. He does now, and he got the information he was looking for.

I guess what Mr Kube is saying..."Hey, if you don't want to share where you live, so be it. Does it really matter. I don't think so"...and it doesn't matter to me either...unless...I am trying to help someone here find the information or part they need and have no clue where in this "WORLD" they are located. Any questions anyone??

Keep in mind, the tires that Coker and Summit sell are made in Mexico; many marked on the sidewall 'Made in Mexico, too include Spanish. Specialty Tires of America manufactures 100% of thier tires in the USA; marked on the sidewall 'Made in USA'. Located in Indiana, PA and Unicoi, TN. www.stausaonline.com

What would Henry say? I just purchased STA 6.50x16 tube tires at Lucas Classic Tires. www.lucasclassictires.com

37stake is correct. My Cokers were made in Mexico and so were my BFGoodrich Silvertowns...also WW radials.
