Re: bumpers?
Since you are in IN. I would definitely contact Custom Metal Finishing. You are less than 100 miles from them.
http://www.mapquest.com/directions?f...de8dd56989f5e3 They did some pot metal for me and it was top quality at a very fair price. It's a family owned business and they take pride in their work.. You might want to seriously consider rechroming your old bumpers rather than swapping them out. Reason: You don't know if the chrome job your getting is really "triple chrome plated" and you might be getting a bumper with low quality plating. DO NOT GET ANY BUMPERS FROM BUMPER BOYS OR BUMPER BOYZ AS THEY ARE REALLY POOR QUALITY. Do a search on Fordbarn and HAMB. Lot's of bad experiences with them have been reported. Do your homework on your chromers. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/t...#post-10769283 and http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/t...hamber.532604/ Last edited by 19Fordy; 08-11-2015 at 02:40 PM. |

Re: bumpers?
x3. Chrome exchanges save a little time but the variables regarding the part you are getting and the quality of the processing vs the part you are giving-up are not worth it in my experience. If you keep the car for years, waiting a couple weeks for a bumper is worth it not to have it flaking by next summer. Just my opinion.
