Default Phaeton top clamping bracket - which way is up?

I'm restoring a -29 Phaeton and I'm struggling with the top bow now. My question: there are two brackets that hold the bow to the windshield stanchions. Which way is up? Is the image (not mine) correct or should it be the other way around?
Greetings from sunny Stockholm

Did your 29 Phaeton happen to come from New Brighton, Minnesota, USA about 12 years ago?
