rear main seals

1937-40 rope top and bottom in block & lower main cap. 41 one rope with pot metal block side 46-48 two pot metal no rope (labyrinth) 49-53 one rope in pot metal insert. I have the two pot metal inserts with no rope seal or any other seal. DO I use RTV to help this seal or just install dry? Suggestion's? |
