no spark
I'm working a 1937 ford club cabriolet and am having a problem with spark. I purchased a new coil from Dennis Carpenter, new points, plugs, spark plug wires, caps, rotor, the engine started. At that time it was not drivable, but until that day comes the engine was start up regularly. About a month later the engine would not start, no spark. I read other posts regarding no spark and followed there suggestions. In one of the threads it mentioned to check voltage to the wire leading to the coil (disconnected from the coil) and it should read 3.5 volts. Mine reads less than 1/2 volt. No where in that thread does it mention what check if I had less than 3.5 volts. That's where I'm at now. What's next. Thanks, Jakes !
