Default Car transporter?

Would like some help from anyone with first hand experience having a car transported?

Which company and any issues? Looking for enclosed shipping only.

We used what was then "Pilot" to take our car to Pebble Beach and back from Florida (2004).......no issues!!!! I had a local friend sell a corvette to a fellow in No Car. and use "Classic Car Transport" (???? Yellow Trucks and trailers with Classic car picture on the trailer) HE was not impressed or completely satisfied with them!!!

Passport has been without exception - exceptional. I have used their services since the late 1970's, One time I went "outside" them as I was moving three cars to Dearborn and back. Went for "cheaper" to Blue Highways. Started off bad and just got worse. HORRIBLE experience.
I might be inclined to shop price if I were moving a parts car. A show vehicle - Passport and only Passport.

I think "Kube" hit the nail on the head. Any money you think you're saving "going cheap" will be exceeded if problems or damage arise.

I used Reliable (Orange and Black rigs)to move two vehicles from SoCal to WA. Both moves were handled very well and met my expectations. Their quote was the most competitive of the three that I solicited bids from including Passport and Horseless Carriage. I think you may find timing is everything when it comes to pricing the move.

I used Intercity Lines, Inc. $1,700.00 Denver to NY. back in 2013. I had my car in a week. Granted I called at the most opportune time. They had a pick up in Utah and were heading East with an open spot. Trailer was loaded with two Teslas and El Camino. Driver was fantastic and the trailer excellent. Oh Yeah, Jay Leno uses them all the time.

A word of caution, if you put it out on the internet you're looking for transportation you will be bombed with emails from brokers and who knows who you will get.

I used Reliable to transport my 40 coupe from CA to NE. last summer and couldn't have been happier. The nice couple who delivered it had been doing this for over 20 years with Reliable and were very professional. I could have gotten it done cheaper but better I'm not sure.

So that's what they mean by "flipping cars".

I would call "trulyvintage" who is a member here on the Barn. He's a one man show and gives close attention to his hauls.

Call or text Jim. 260-804-6695

Intercity moved six cars and nine cartons of parts and their performance was perfect. Also one car at a time and the same results.

I have been here on Ford Barn since Ryan bought it.

For those who remember when Miss Shelly owned it ....

I used to run a box ad at the top of Ford Barn & Chevy Barn.

Check out my 19 page transport thread here on Ford Barn
that I started back in 2010 ....

I just finished transport on a trade of a 1911 Model T Touring
and a MGB TC between Cincinnati & Albuquerque:

Both gentlemen were very nice & pleased with the trade ....

I have been in business since 2006 when I built my website.

This is the first car I transported in an enclosed trailer back in 2008:

You can read my actual customer feedback here:

Used Reliable to send car to Arizona from Connecticut. Car ran out of gas unloading it, my fault. Reliable driver helped my son push it into his garage. Went above and beyond.
