Default 1940 Lever Action Shoicks

Are the lever actions shocks on a 1940 Ford adjustable? I was replacing the dog bones on my rear end and could move the levers up and down by hand with very little resistance.

They are adjustable. However, if the levers move with little resistance, the shocks are most likely worn out. Any adjustment allowable will do little, if any good.

They may not have any oil inside. adjustment is in very small movements (Half a notch) suggest you check oil level and mark the setting, as it is, before adjustment.
