brake lines ?
I am replacing brake lines on my chassis and I need to connect two length of 3/16 line. Can I use a compression o ring fitting or must I double flare both ends? I think I heard compression rings are a no no? But its been a long time since I have done this kind of thing.

Re: brake lines ?
There is a fitting that accepts flare lines that you can connect the two lines.

Re: brake lines ?
Needs to be double flare. A compression fitting is not designed for that much pressure.

Re: brake lines ?
Absolutely do not use a compression fitting. Suicide waiting to happen. Use a union fitting that will accept the flared fittings.
