Camshaft rear bearing oil hole

The May 1929 Ford Service Bulletin has a procedure to drill a hole to oil the rear camshaft bearing. I have a Dec 28 motor and there is no issue with rear bearing wear. Is the oil hole .... not needed ..... recommended ..... or critical? If the oil hole is added, will it create more problems with oil leakage?

just restore a 1929 baquet from uruguay. The vehicle was used in the 40s and 50s the hardest as a racing car. I had no oil drilling at the back, the surface is OK, although the engine was badly treated.

Normally the throughout lubrication groove on the rear bearing treat is sufficient enough. The situation is different if you buy a new B cam. Due to B Engine lubrication by pressure, the oil groove is centered.
In my opinion you need now the oil channel. I have done myself freehand with a extra long drill, the angles are estimated.
Additional last week the molding cutter had milled a O - ring groove in the flywheel housing. So now for align housing and crank I use shims and silicone --- no more paper gasket. With the O - ring between the rear bearing would be sealed against the housing
