If you draw around the radius of the lining and then draw around the circle, and then do the same for the new shoe, you should be able to see how far the hole is out.

Looks like about 1/8" would need to be removed from shoe.
Question are front and back shoes the same or are the fronts the same Pri Sec. Are all shoes the same for 1940 |

'40 PU lining kit from Obsolete Ford in Oklahoma thicker than original apparently to accommodate expected older drum wear. So turned new US made drums 0.015" to get on. Works great.

If you have after market shoes that have the bottom hole off location what's going to happen is the medal will kit drum as it wears. If you put a new shoes inside drum and check that you have at least 1/8 to medal to medal.
