Default 12 Volt Alternator ,output

What do you think the Minimum demand would be on a 12 Volt basic system on a Flathead 35 or 40 amps ? , this would be with halogen bulbs .Thanks for your input

35 or 40 amps will not keep up with Halogen headlights...

alot of alts come in 60 amp, these are the ones advertised for $79, get a 90 or 100 amp and be safe, one wire alts are usually 100 amp, but i dont recommend then buy the 3 wire its easy to wire and less problems

345 Desoto is on target..You can run a 60 amp with no problem. Don't have to over rev engine to get it to kick in. Major demands are elc fan, air, power acc.if you don't have them, you don't need more than 60 amp. Don't have to get 100 amp gauge. imo...
