Default Ford head

I have a Model A head that has been sitting on my shelf for the last 3 years. It has the Ford script on the top of the head. It also has what looks like a part number stamped on the top portion of the water pump flange. The number is "A 49". Can any one tell me what I have?

what John said, a later production replacement part, probably mid to late '30's.
