Default Still in need of a fender transported???

Still "HOPING" to find someone maybe heading "SOUTH" down hwy 81 through Virginia who could haul a 46-48 front fender south with them. For pay, obviously.....but just to get it "further" south and closer to Florida would be a tremendous help. The seller can't even get it on a pallet so I could have a motor freight company pick it up for me SO I am sort of in desperate need!!! ANY help is greatly appreciated. IT is approximately 5 or so miles OFF I-81 so NOT to far astray!!! PM me IF you can help???

I've used uship.com several times with good luck for soda machines, car grills, Whip car, pinball games. Only as good as the shipper you contract with. Good rates thru competitive bidding.

The seller can take it to a UPS shipping store. They will box it and ship it for him. All he needs to do is drop it off. I have done this with fenders before.
Or, if there is a Greyhound station near him, they will ship it is well. They are quite reasonable. I've shipped hoods through them.
With Greyhound, he will need to cover it but nothing fancy. I used brown paper to wrap my hoods - nothing more.

This guy "can't" set it on a pallet (much less get a pallet) and tie it to it with rope so I could have my freight company swing by and get it. He is in a small town and tells me he "doesn't have a vehicle to haul the fender 30 or so miles to the next town for a bus station( OR my freight terminal/same town) where they could put it on a pallet for me!!!! SO.....I'm stuck with, "It's right here, come get it!!!" had I known it was going to be a struggle to even get it moved more than 100 feet I never would have bought from him!!!!

The real kick in the teeth is right after I bought it from him, he had another fellow from south of me picking up some parts from him in a pick-up truck BUT that fellow wouldn't haul it down here as he was afraid it would scratch his new truck!!!! He passed 300 (literally/ that's how far 95 is from my office!!) feet from my work here in Jax on his way back to FLA!!!!

Ive placed CL ads before in each opposing town for hauling.

I needed a bunch of nomad parts hauled down to Miami from NJ. got a guy right away for 250. to haul my parts. He was headed to FL and glad to get the gas $. I met him in Philly with all the parts off 95.
yes the parts made it and were sent to south America from there...........

they closed down right up the st from me. I used them many times. A couple of times the parts never made it. drivers/workers stole the parts.........

They have limited the freight stations. Not all greyhound bus depots ship freight. I had to drive from Green Bay to Milwaukee to ship 2 fenders. I didn't wrap them in anything. Dave/Green Bay

Fastenal is a good way to ship, but it has to be packaged and dropped off at their store and they take it to the store nearest to you. How far down into Va. on I 81 is it? I live 3 miles off I 81, 5 miles north of the Va. line in WV. What is the fender for or how big is it?

I see it is in Harrisonburg, 1+ hrs from me.

After re reading your post, I see what fender it is for. I would be willing to go pick it up and perhaps help getting it shipped. I doubt I would have room to haul in in our Ford Edge, my wife is pretty particular with her vehicle, but we are coming to Fl in 3 or so weeks, right down I 95 and across I 4 to 301.

Thank you for the offer, I have a couple of irons in the fire warming up (I think). Judging by your route you listed you ALSO will be passing 3oo feet from my office headed south on 95. Lol. I will post back here shortly and "hopefully".

I know it sounds strange. But try greyhound. I had a couple fenders shipped that way. It was about a decade ago. But station to station they do hall freight.

Is Greyhound still in business? I live along a major Interstate highway and I cannot remember the last time I saw a Greyhound bus.

Seems like a reasonable drive to me. Why not just make the trip yourself?
