That car is just beautiful! I like the "Hand Signals Only" sign on the tail light.

Pity those who can't or don't read.

With all the various nationalities living in the UK the people following might think the waving arms are just the occupants inside talking to each other

47 Merc.......the arm waving is usually confined to the INSIDE of the car when the occupants are communicating with each other.

If it were OZ, it'd be a case of waving a Sheila or a Fosters goodbye

Very nice ride! Can you give us the tire specs and where you got the trim rings?

Henry.....that's amazing ! Do you know where and when that photo was taken. I do have photos of the car when much altered, with four headlamps and V8 Pilot bumpers; accompanied by the original owner. The B was restored to it's current format in the early 80's

Henry,

Where on the web did you find the picture? In the meantime I'll save the picture and email it to Keith.

Nice 32 . Unique to UK "scuttle" below the doors too.

As a matter of trivia can any of our non British Commonwealth friends on the Barn tell us what that car is in the background?

That UK Cabbie is beautiful; the bodies [except the Sedans] were from Canada, but probably a Dagenham chassis.
In what way is the ''scuttle'' different.?
The car in background may be a Triumph Mayflower??

Opps, sorry, don't think I was meant to guess the car, being from the Commonwealth!
Tom.

The cabriolet looks lovely. If you look closely the car in the old pic has the reg number painted on the front wings.

Can't make it out exactly, but I don't think it matches the number on your car. That doesn't rule out it being the same car, but it would have been great if it had matched, wouldn't it?

Mart.

I suspect that it isn't my car.....the car in the background is either a Triumph Renown or a Mayflower. The latter was a scaled down version of the Renown. It may be possible to research the registration number on the Triumph ?

Graeme NZ.....TRIVIA.....definitely a Renown. The Mayflower has a square number plate mounted on the boot lid (trunk) whereas a Renown plate is mounted centrally between the rear bumpers

The Triumph was registered in Coventry (*WK). The middle letter of the ford reg just might be an L which would probably suggest London.

Yes the Dagenham built ones had a "scuttle" between the bottoms of the doors and the running boards while the North American ones had the doors go all the way down. I think the Aussie built 32s were similar to UK ones too.

Re the other car I knew it was a Triumph Renown, just wondered if our Us friends had an idea. All the answers came from Commonwealth countries anyway

cheers

Are you getting mixed up with 33/34's? the Aussie 33/34's had a gap between the doors and running boards, and the USA ones have full height doors. I'm no expert, but I think the 32's are all the same, with a gap between the doors and the running boards. (Hence the stylistic reveal on the frame, as it was always on show.)

I remember the `Mox Nix' sticks on the German cars.

Motordor....sorry for the delay. The tyres are India Super 5.50-18 Made in Great Britain. That's all the information on the sidewalls. They've been on the car now for 34 years so I suspect that they're now obsolete. May be worth GOOGLING them?

Likewise; the trim rings are of a similar age and were on the car when I acquired it. They are chromium plated and not stainless steel.

Hope that helps ?

Motordr.....here's a couple of images from the www. The whole tyre is on Ebay Uk....number 2609 2845 8341.....for sale by Vintage Tyres

The partial version is from Longstone Tyres. Neither of which are identical to my Indias but similar
