That is neat, I never thought about it snowing there. A lot is supposed to come up the I95 and hit the NE soon.

oldredford, I was stationed at Charleston AFB , 1965-1969 , remember one winter they got a VERY light dusting of snow , and all us guys from the North had a good laugh , because they just went nuts trying to drive in it , especially on the bridges there . Enjoy , wish I could send you all we have here right now .

I spent the winter of 66-67 at Fort Gordon, Georgia(near Augusta) and we got about 2 inches in one storm that winter. It's the coldest winter I ever spent anywhere, so humid, the cold went
right through you.

There was a snow storm when we lived in Somerset Ky.
It was hilarious seeing all the locals sliding off the road.
I had a 4x4 short bed P/U and spent hours pulling people out of the ditches.
Some people slid back into the ditch within a few hundred feet of being pulled out.
When I went to work in the morning ther were 5 vehicles stuck on the grass at the side of the driveway.

I must admit one winter night it rained when we went to visit some friends and there was about 1/4 inch of ice on everything when we left. We had our van and when we got on the road to go home I slid sideways to the edge while at a complete stop.
We spent the night with our friends.

We are suposed to get a dusting of 12-14 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow.
The only issue is that they are predicting 50 mph winds.

Hey, it isn’t just snow. Watching someone from So. Cal driving in our rain is a hoot. I’m glad it scares them because they slow down a little. Not enough, but a little.

Good old Oregon rain,

Mike
