Default What Electric Pump do you recommend?

I kinda think the title says it all.
The car is a 42 with the G six cylinder.
Original carb.
Yes it'll be hooked up through relay that is controlled by a toggled switch hooked to the ignition switch. Seems anything I want at the local parts stores is gonna have to be ordered so I may as well get some opinion first.
Car has been changed to 12 volts

Airtex 8902, is what I have for my 6 volt 39. Works well without a regulator

Here's what I got when I did a search for "electric fuel pump".
Perusal will yield knowledge needed.

I use a Facet that looks like the old Bendix from 50 years ago. I was working on a John Deere a few months ago and just loved the fuel pump that it had. What I liked is when it was up to pressure it quit pumping.

I got the pump for my '46 Deluxe from Summit Racing. It is 6V, but they sell 12V as well. Check the pressure rating that matches your carb pressure requirements. If you are using your stock pump as I am, I only use the electric for "priming" after the car has sat for a few weeks. Which ever kind you buy, make sure it is a "flow through" design, or you will have to run the pump as long as the engine is running. The first electric pump I bought wasn't a flow through, so it is back in the box on a shelf.

I bought an IH truck back in 02 that came with an electric fuel pump in place of the original diaphragm style. It worked ok for a while but eventually quit. I replaced it with (I think) a Carter electric rotary style and that worked for a while but I ended up going back to the old original style diaphragm pump which seems to work best for me.

A search will also include and reveal suggested brand name pumps, such as Facet .

Just doing a search on "Airtex" and "Facet" will give you lots of results including peoples experience with them. Such as:

At one time Airtex was the brand to use, however, I've had trouble over the past few years with them and have gone to an intank late model electric pump, This pump requires a return line back to the tank. This isn't an easy or cheap task, but i just can't wast any more tome with this chinese junk.

I have used Mr Gasket #42S for five years with no problems, but I do carry a spare.

2 - 3.5 psi, which is ideal for a 94 or 97 carbs. Self priming, but should go near the tank anyway. 12v negative ground. 28 gph, which is plenty. 2 amp draw at max flow; this pump is the only thing I have wired through the ignition switch, besides the coil. This pump is flow-through, so I often drive with this pump turned off and the mechanical pump pulling through it.

Do they sell the Mr. Gasket for 6v + ground? Is there a Made in USA 6 volt electric fuel pump, externally mounted?

I ordered an Airtex from E Bay and they said they couldn't ship to CA because of some dumb law. Amazon said the same when I tried to order from them. Rock Auto was a go though. Already on its way, shipped.

I try VERY HARD to understand why Californians keep on voting for lawmakers and officials that write laws and allow the shenanigans that the people DON'T WANT! DD

Not all people are "car people". As a matter of fact, the great majority are not.

Unfortunately, it doesn't just have to do with cars. DD
