29 Tudor kick panels
How many screws are used to attach the kick panels. When I got the car the kick panels were missing, so I have no idea how they are attached. I have looked at several photos and as near as I can figure it looks like 5 places--see photo. But I could be wrong!

Re: 29 Tudor kick panels
I think your numbers 1, 2 and 5 are for screws holding the kick panel. Numbers 3 and 4 are for the door check strap bracket, which also hold the panel.

Re: 29 Tudor kick panels
Thanks for your reply--I assume that all 5 screws should be #10 fine thread?

For the 82-A closed cab - #1, 2, 5 are #10 x 3/4" sheet metal screws (oval head and nickle plated). Used with finish washers (.224 ID x .580 OD). #3, 4 are #12-24 oval head and nickle plated. I believe all 1928/1929's are the same.

Re: 29 Tudor kick panels
Thanks for the reply. I will have to look a little closer. I thought that I saw threads in the holes, but I could be wrong. There is a lot of paint in the holes so I'll need to double check.

Re: 29 Tudor kick panels
All of mine (29 Tudor) were threaded. #10x32 on 1,2 and 5 and 3 and 4 were
1/4x20. Last edited by Dean Lemoine; 12-10-2019 at 07:56 AM. |

Thanks Gary' I have those. I am just trying to figure out what type of screws hole the kick panel to the pillar. I am aware that the two screws that attach the door check strap to the pillar are #10 fine thread, but I am not sure about the others. Right now there is a build up of paint on the metal tabs where the screws attach so I can't really tell if they are threaded or not. I just need some time to check it out.

Re: 29 Tudor kick panels
Door strap screws are not #10, they are 12/24
