Default Chassis Engineering

Just read my e-mails and it appears that the Heidts Automotive Group has purchased CE and will be moving operations to their Illinois plant. They say they are retaining some of the CE employees.

Hope this is true. And hope they continue with CE's suspension parts.

That would be great. CE parts are great. Happy that someone like heidts will continue making the parts and not the offshore speed shop knockoff inc.

That's good news. I thought with the versatility and quality of CE products, someone would be willing to pick up their product line. Maybe this was in negotiations when the first announcement was made on closing, and they couldn't go public with this then.

Paying the full price is better then not being able to buy any of it ever again

I know, but I would had it for $37. I don't think I could have got an old used kit for that much.

You guys sound like you are having better luck than I am.

Called them about three weeks after placing an order; customer service rep wasn't very positive, asked me if I knew the whole "story". He said that Heidts purchased only the CE name and blueprints; but not the manufacturing processes as the business was closed.

The rep could not provide a time frame when they would be able to make the parts and followed up by asking me if I wanted to cancel.
