Default Just a pic posting test - PhotoBucket.

Sooo. I heard PB have relaxed their rules. As a test here is a pic of my 41 hosted on PB. If this works I have a bunch of pics to share and some text I can tidy up into a build thread of sorts - more a build diary. Time permitting of course.

Mart.

Only problem is any future change has the potential of removing them.

Left hand drive? Looks nice! Will this be a similar rebuild like the '33?

What is wrong with storing them on your local computer and posting them directly to fordbarn? After what Photobucket did I wouldn't trust them. If you are using a MAC and are having problems post and I will post some detailed instructions.

Another thing that you might find useful there is a separate forum that can be used for testing, https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13

Mart.

Is this a free account as they had before or one of the two new pay for accounts that they offer.
Can't get any info on free account without first signing up.

I'll start with my reply cut and pasted from the hamb - I'm not lazy, just seeking efficiencies.

I'm kinda with you, guys. Like you say, once bitten twice shy. I post on 3 forums. Here, the Barn and a local UK forum. When I used to do a build thread I'd write it here, cut and paste to the Barn, and cut and paste again to the UK forum. 3 posts for the price of one. To do that now is just too much effort, posting the images to each site, each with it's own idiosyncrasies.(sp).

On my 33 3w thread (in my signature) I revived a lot of the pics using the original ~original workaround. Yesterday I edited it and where a photo wasn't showing, I removed the ~original and lo and behold the pics showed again.

So I don't know if they have magically reappeared in older threads, but do appear now if freshly linked.

I'll let this sit for a while, but while I'm pleased I can post the pic, I don't want to invest what does add up to many hours of time to create a build thread.

Thanks for the feedback though.

Oh, and the truck is up and running and on the road, looking much like the pic.

End of paste.

No, just a free account. All my pics are still there, just the ability to post them in threads here and elsewhere was taken away. It seems to be back but can it be trusted?

I dunno.

You see this all over the internet, articles with photos that no longer exist. Sorry, but I just don't see going to the trouble to post a detailed article and then have it end up useless or degraded because of externally hosted photos. Just me, but I'm not interested in any of the externally hosting sites!

I do store photos and documents on the cloud, but I don't link to them.

I agree with JSeery wholeheartedly. I see more and more older posts with no pictures and not just from PhotoBucket use changes.
