Default (non-Ford) Abandoned Packard Plant

Here's a very interesting article about the abandoned Packard plant in Detroit:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/07/ga...ard-plant.html

There are also some photos.
Funny how it's in the Home and Garden section of the paper...

Thanks Doug, I enjoyed the story. What a museum that would be, a real shame.

It's really sad what has happened to such a great car company, and also what has happened to so many great buildings around the U.S. The U.S. is such a throw away society.

The 2012 movie, Alex Cross, has some Packard plant shots in it. The movie is only a 3-star flick, but I liked seeing the Packard plant even if it was a little sad.

Not Packard, but. A number of years ago a friend bought everything in the old Syracuse [Liverpool] NY Franklin plant. The inside of that place was still amazing.
