Anybody ever seen these?
Last week at Cowtown, I bought a fun thing: A 130-page 1928 parts and accessories catalog from Western Auto. It had a few things for A's, but mostly stuff for T's and Chevrolets.
Here is one item I have never heard of before. Has anybody ever seen these on an A? Doug

Re: Anybody ever seen these?
Never have seen such an item, but it must mean you remove the shim packs and the nut keeps tightening due to the coil spring turning the nut to take up any slack. Sure seems like it would leave the babbit with zero clearance.

Re: Anybody ever seen these?
I never knew there was such a thing.I found one set in an old engine I took apart, but I just thought somebody had just picked junk up off the floor to use as spacers.I just threw them away,if I had known I would have kept them,I like old band-aids like that.I have a really neat old truss setup that bolts to the frame rails and picks up on the bellhousing to cure sagging motor mounts.
