You mean, how do you remove the draft tube? Disconnect the lower part and supports, and pull while wiggling.

Or someone plugged the hole and now there is a reason to install a draft tube or PCV setup.
In that case it depends on what kind of plug.

Might be worthwhile to pull the intake and work from the bottom with a piece of pipe and a big hammer.

paul2748 made a good suggestion. Intake gasket is cheaper than the time you will spend if unknown junk falls into the engine while dealing with the hole.
Years ago I purchased a pvc set-up that used that draft tube hole with a rubber grommet for the pvc valve and then to a vac. outlet below the rear carb (dual 94's). Tried to get a picture but no luck, sorry.

Please post a photo of what you have.
Also, this info. from HAMB may help.

Do not try to pry it out by placing a screwdriver blade between the edge of the freeze plug and the intake hole. Most likely, you will chip off the edge of the intake.

I personally would sharpen a small flat screwdriver blade and use it as a punch to slice an
opening into plug and then use a slide hammer and hook to pull it out.

Don't think it will work

I posted a similar question on the H.A.M.B. 6 months ago and didn't get a definitive answer. (I had a "Sharp" 4 bbl intake that had a tall, ugly oil fill tube in it that I wanted to remove.) "51MERC-CT" is correct that you can't get a direct shot at the pipe (or plug) from the bottom. I tried everything, soaking it in various penetrants, heating the manifold and shoving ice cubes down the tub, and trying a LARGE pipe wrench. The filler tube is still in that manifold. This thread reminds me I should drag it out again and cut it up with my Dremel so I can finally get it out. I think my problem was a steel tube in an aluminum intake manifold. The O/P should have an easier time with a cast iron manifold. My main problem was that I was afraid to use a lot of force so I wouldn't damage an otherwise pristine (somewhat) rare intake manifold.

I get them out using penetrating fluid and tapping on the top 12/6-3/9 o'clock positions. If you pull up while doing this it should come out...... Mark

It's not the draft tube he wants to get out -it's a plug

Didn't realize that there wasn't a straight shot.
