I read the forums every day - don't read the paper as it is too expensive and depressing. In any event I often see the term "banjo" being mentioned. I have and four string tenor and a 5 string banjo but don't carry them around with me......lol. What is the "banjo" part of the Model A?

Center section of the rear end. So called because if one removed both axel housings and left the torque tube on, it would resemble a banjo. (use your imagination)
