Ken Davis shock kit
I drive my 31 truck a lot. After some thought, I've decided to put modern shocks on it. Has anyone had any experience with the kit from Ken Davis.
Any suggestions or input about the kits offered from the other manufacturers. As always....Thanks |

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
Best on the market as far as I'm concerned. They work great, and are simple to install. The shocks come blue, but you can rattle can them black if you don't like the color.

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
Have them on my Sedan.... everyone who rides in my car says it's one of the best riding Model A's they've ever been in.

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
Were shocks an option?
My 30 coupe doesn't have them and I can't tell if it ever did. I will be ordering a Ken Davis kit this week as I took it out for it's first test run yesterday and boy was it bumpy. |

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
I'm a fan. I have them on my '30 Coupe.
There are a number of threads here that discuss Ken's shocks. Here is a good one: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showth...hock&showall=1

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
+1
Put them on my roadster - ride/control improved greatly Also painted black. Fairly easy to install - easier if you have a lift.

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
I had them front and back. I was not happy with the front end bounce. Replaced fronts with orignal style and am very happy.

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
I've got a conversion kit made by Ryan Kaye. It was a little over $300.00 delivered and came complete with Gabriel shocks and didn't require drilling extra holes anywhere. Just making the ones in the backing plate larger. I didn't want to drill holes in the front axle. The ride is good and I no longer have issues with body roll in a corner like I'd had before.

Re: Ken Davis shock kit
The way I understand it it depends on the weight of the car which shock he specifies.
