Default 46 wiper mounting

Any chance that someone has a picture of what the motor mounts to in a 46.
I have three different motors and the only one I am positive about is the 41 since I removed it last night.
I was told a long time ago that the set-up from 41-46 were different but is it only the vacuum part that is different? Green book shows same number on the parts.

Picture #1 center assembly is out of the 41 parts car
Picture #2 is from 41 parts car
Picture #3 is from my 46

The center one is 41 and came off the mount shown in photo #2. The top one in photo #1 has the same center to center but the shafts are a larger diameter then the others. The third one in photo#1 has the same part numbers on the arms as the middle one but they are shaped a little different.
The mounting area in my 46 has wide hole spacing for mounting so I believe I am missing a mounting plate that mount to the motor.

there is one on the car then the one on the wiper motor on my car that is what you are seeing . glad to have helped it is not to big or heavy you just might be able to make it on on your own. try antique auto supply in arlington texas 317 275 2381 ask for stacey brown. he had my wiper transmission in stock very good price.

Many of the FoMoCo wiper set ups had the vacuum motor mounted to a light weight bracket that also attached to the towers and actuator arms then the whole shebang is held in place by the nuts that hold the towers to either the cowl or the roof panel. Simple but effective.

I believe I picked that one up at a swap meet and they told me it was for a 46 Ford. Not sure what it really is but I would have to open the holes up in the cowl just to see if it would fit. I not that lucky so I will just make or find the mounting bracket for the other set-up.

one of the brackets mounts to the underside of the dash. the other goes on the wiper motor then bolts to the bracket under the dash. you should not have mod anything for it to fit where it belongs. look back at the pic i posted . it should bolt on the underside of the cowl. the only thing you should have to put though the cowl holes would be the wiper towers. at least that is the way mine is. your third pic is the piece that the wiper mounting bracket would bolt to. if the wiper motor bracket does not fit it then it is not the right one. the pic i posted earlyer was under my dash by the speaker grill
