Q:" My Model A is a highboy with a B motor. Is it okay for me to participate?"

A:Sure can!!!!! A,B or C powered is what really matters. Nobody said anything about no fenders or any body mods either. You could show up with a doodle bug if you REALLY wanted to?

Just out of curiosity, how many Canadians are coming?

Don't know? Since the Can-Am is also opened to period Hot Rods ( Not just stock Model A's) and 4 cylinder Fords built from Oct '27-34. We could see a respectable showing. It all depends on how much they value their mayonnaise?

Also a little birdie told me that a Tim Hortons is having a grand opening in Hood River! So we will just have to wait and see.

Just got off the phone with a fella with a Speedster that wants to participate. The corrected meeting spot location didn't make the latest Restorer deadline. So just a reminder, we are meeting at the Safeway parking lot, 2249 Cascade Ave, Hood River, Or 97031. At 9amish, Saturday, July 20th. It's not a requirement that you make contact with us if you are planning on going, however, it's a good idea! Benny

24 Brave Americans went up to Timberline Lodge claiming vicktory for the Americans! To my Canadian friends I hope you had fun at Duece Days hope it was worth it, no mayonasie for a year! The rest of you I all hope you got to do something fun that promotes the hobby. There was not enough parking up top we had to party at the bottom, I forgot to drink fluids, so all for now. Benny

Thanks Dick! It would have been nice to get a picture of everyone at the top but parking was a nightmare. I was told that I could have reserved some space. Only one problem about reserving : I don't know how many cars will show? Besides the Can-Am is called "The Can-Am Tour" by some which is a bit of a mis-nomer. The Can-Am is a Reliability run. Tours are all staged and planed out. Reliability run, expect some chaos and some "plan B's".

The participation went like this: Portland Beavers, Volcano A's, High Desert A's , Tyee Model A & Model T Club, one lone wolf (red speedster) & Morris & Kim Eddy from the Alamo A's (San Antonio, TX MAFCA) in modern iron.
