Re: Who are Your Parts Supplier?
Hey NormC it's really pick and choose, sometimes it's E-Bay, Drakes, Mac's, The Early Ford Store or the local flathead guy here in So. Cal. It really comes down to who has what you need and how fast you need it. I hope this makes since and helps, good luck.

Joe's Antique Auto. If I can't get it at Joe's then I may use anyone but Mac's
Joblot is also very good and has good quality parts. Mike at Honest Charley Speed Shop is also a good guy!

Dennis Carpenter is my number one pick, but I also use C&G, Sacramento Vintage Ford since I live in the west. Less time for shipping.

Re: Who are Your Parts Supplier?
What has been posted so far is mostly repop stuff, and you know where that is made, and usually it is not in the USA.
The Model A folks have complete list of all the parts suppliers. I would guess the EV8 gang also has one. My favorites are all NOS or NORS vendors, as I am not into dealing with stuff made overseas and the inevitable quality issues. There is certain pride in using USA quality products, and far less headaches. Amen. |

Re: Who are Your Parts Supplier?
I use Little Dearborn in Minneapolis. I can go in person and get my parts and not wait for shipping. I have also used VanPelt, C@G, Drake, Carpenter and been satisfied with all.

Re: Who are Your Parts Supplier?
For original parts I use the Early Ford Store and Baxter Ford. For reproduction parts I look at the Vendors mentioned. C&G,Bob Drake and Vanpelts and others.Mac Vanpelt is helpful on the phone with Questions.

Antique Ford
9103 E. Garvey ave. Rosemead, CA 626 288 2121 Let it ring or keep trying. If he's helping a customer at the counter he keeps doing that. I've been going there since 1960. It's Gene Scott's old place. Wayno

Re: Who are Your Parts Supplier?
Dick Spadaro is the my starting point for everything. Whatever it is, I always start with Dick or Bill. They give me the straight info on the parts I need and if they don't have it/can't get it they will tell me where to go for it.

Re: Who are Your Parts Supplier?
32phil, I second that. I've stopped @ Spadaro's and talked with Bill twice on trips from Webster, NY to CT. Bill is a wealth of information and makes the diversion from the Thruway very worthwhile. Next to him the counter people at Mac's look like Wal-Mart rejects. Last Wednesday Bill took the time to help me find a front license plate bracket to fit a bumper bracket tracing from my 1940 Ford 1-1/2 ton panel delivery.
