1937 Ford Coupe STD - Trico wiper motor
Hey guys. I've had my car for 3 days so things are very new. My Trico KSB 383 1 wiper motor doesnt seem to be working. I've pulled it apart and the previous grease was a little sticky so replaced. It now moves much more freely. I've popped it all back together and blowing compressed air in the end and it only goes one way and wont return and keep going back and forth. All of the internal bits are there from the diagrams that I've looked at. I'm guessing blowing compressed air (not too higher setting) will mimic the vacuum?
Unfortunately due to being a new member I cant post pictures until i have ten posts. Any help super appreciated. Last edited by Dameon Hubbard; 09-23-2023 at 09:28 AM. |

The motor and it's mechanism operate on inches of vacuum, not pounds of pressure. connect it to your daily ride vacuum hose.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. The previous owner disconnected the hose (now chewed by rats) and plugged the manifold. Thats the main reason i was trying the compressor or even blowing in it. I will replace the hose, connect and give it a shot. I was just hoping there was a way to test it. |
