Default Gold plated Model A for sale

Not mine but worth looking at - if you need a chuckle. How about 24K gold plated bumpers, horn, radiator shell, etc.? It can be yours for only $50,000!

Ahhh, "a fool and his money . . . "

We've seen that car before. Someone posted it months ago, and we all had a real good chuckle at the time, but also some interesting comments were shared.

For 50 grand "cash only, firm", I expect to see some pictures of the interior and engine, dangit.

They should emphasize the "fully original" paint job, too.

Personally, I think it would make a great wedding car for a limo service or wedding planner. Probably priced a little extravagant but "firm" don't always mean 'firm'.

P.S.
For $50 grand "cash only, firm" I wouldn't buy it even if the engine was gold plated.

Ha ha ha! So true.

Brent is right, that would make one heck of a wedding car.... For a hip-hop artist!

Still.. Aren't any of you the least bit curious what the interior looks like?

I can see it now... New member shows up on FB...

"HI, I just bought a leatherback fordor and need to know how to tighten the bumper clamps without scraping any of the gold plating off the bumpers. Also, do any of you know how to set the timing correctly? When the gold lever on the left is all the way up, the car won't go over 30 MPH.". Or, "Do they make LED replacements for the gold tail lights?"

I have seen the car. It is in Wake Forest NC. The Owner says he has more than 50,000 in it . Not my style, but the car looks like it was done well. Lots and lots of gold plating. I,m sure some one would like it.

Yeah I am going to jump right on it. But I agree with Brent, if you could rent it out as a Limo style wedding car, it would be great!

I'm sure it is the most talked about Model A in NC. I'm also sure the comments run from very complimentary to quite rude

It was his ride. He can do whatever he wants to it. We don't have to agree with him or even like it.

Worth $50k? Not in my opinion.

Weigh each part and compare to weight of un-plated part. This is insane though.

Quite refreshing actually, it didn't say "Barn Find" or "Original" anywhere in the ad.

Looks like a silk hat on a sow. The guy might be a multi millionaire, and 50K might be chump change to him. Some people like champagne and others actually 'drink' Bud-light! Truth truly is stranger than fiction.
