Default Head milling

Is it safe to mill the 33-36 Ford aluminum heads, 40-6049A + 40-6050A and if so, how many thousands is allowable? Thank you.

Why?? if it's for pitting from corrosion, just make sure the fire ring is clear and fill the corroded area with JB weld or Divcon alum after bead blasting. Done that many times. If it's to increase compression??

Flat top pistons....you can safely plane heads without changing piston to head clearance....however, you still need to maintain at least .060" clearance over the valves. No-one can tell you how much you can safely take off; you need to check your existing clearances and calculate how much you can remove. Use clay or similar to check current clearances. Remember to rotate engine through at least two full revolutions whilst performing this test.
