Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
This past August I made a visit to the Elliott Museum in Stuart, Florida. The museum has been discussed here before and is well known for having a very large car "jukebox" where a person can select a vehicle on a computer and then the car is retrieved from a spot in a rack and brought to a viewing area for people to look at. They also are well known for having a very large collection of Model A/AA Commercial vehicles on display.
When I went I was given an amazing tour by the automobile curators, John and Don. I took some pictures of some of the more interesting AA's there and figured I'd post some shots of their "Grapes of Wrath" AA; an unrestored 1931 Ambulance that was converted into a camper at some point in time. In these last two shots you can see where someone removed the rear passenger side door and installed a bumped out section of sheet metal; this was to accommodate a cast iron wood burning stove! You can still see a section of the chimney sticking out of the top. I'll post more pics of some of their collection when I get time but if you're ever on the Southeast coast of Florida, I strongly suggest taking a trip to this facility. -Tim |

We hit 85,000 views after my update the other days so let's post a lot more.
Some Commercial A's from the University of Kentucky, Lexington Digital Image Archives. The original images are between 5-8mb! I would suggest that if you like a picture, click on the link below it to take you to the original image on the archive's webpage. From there you can zoom in to see an amazing level of detail that is fascinating for people who like the minute details. Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
Sometimes you have to look extra hard to find the Model A in a picture. Just because the vehicle isn't the focus doesn't mean it isn't a good picture. If anything it helps us see a day in the life of these vehicles when they were new...

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
I just realized I never got around to posting pictures of Commercial Vehicles at Hershey 2013. So because I already shoveled five or six inches of snow and I have some time to kill before I go back out to get the rest; here you go.
I posted a picture of this truck last year and it got quite a few comments so I took some more this year... -Tim |

Re: Model A commercial vehicles picture thread!!
That is the accessory front bumper. It is connected at the ends of the bumper to the springs behind it.
