Re: 292 vacuum leak
So my parts were ordered with Murmmet Machining around 10:00 and parts were received next day by 4:00. Super fast getting them shipped out!! Thanks John! Saturday was spent at Gene Winfield's open house, so this morning was tear down day. So, I'm amazed to find what I did after carefully removing the intake.......I can't believe it ran as well as it did!! So I really have no way of knowing if the intake had been removed and or installed by the previous owner, or if this was done by the original builder. I would like to believe it wasn't, but who knows. Sure hope it did not do any damage by running so lean.

Re: 292 vacuum leak
Do you think when you pulled the intake that the intake pulled the gasket?

Re: 292 vacuum leak
I'm sure they didn't move as they were stuck solid against the heads and took some effort to scrape off.

Re: 292 vacuum leak
Yup, feeling great!!!Just finished running it since the repair along with a good test drive!! Running as it should!! I do appreciate the input from you all, your advice was all well noted. So it looked like my valley pan was properly sealed before, But I do like the addition of the new Murmment pan!!
