What color is the small square of metal at the top of the jamb supposed to be?

The metal piece is part of a brace that supports the roof rails coming into the header . All the 35-36 braces are painted .....from my recollection "winter leaf brown" , but I don't have Sorenson's bok in front of me ....on vacation . In your case , because the car is not an original color , I'd just paint it the same as the blue cowl to match . Mick

I borrowed the photo from ebay. My 36 is bambalino blue. Sounds like since I have painted all the interior metal bam blue because I dislike the original tan color I should also paint that square bam blue.

Personally I'd paint it black to keep it more discrete...
