Cabs (including doors) and grilles are also the same. Fenders are shared by F2-6.

Actually hoods, cabs, and doors are shared by F1-F8. The big trucks often have better sheet metal because they are up out of the muck.

] Did you know that for the 1948-1950 Ford Grilles, there we two different widths? On the Big trucks, the Grille was wider than on the smaller series. See the above pictures. From 1951 onwards, the F1, F100 shared the same Grille with the large trucks until 1967, when the Trucks got a differently styled Grille to the smaller trucks. These two trucks, are Australian, as you can tell by the location of the Parking Lights. Ford Australia adopted the same location as Ford of Canada did with their Mercury range of trucks. |

Re: 1951-1952 f1 hood
Here is a Canadian F-47 (that is what the Canadian equivalents of the F-1 trucks are called) that was imported to Australia. Notice that the Canadian Ford Pickups placed the Parking Lights in the same location as the USA Ford Trucks. |

Re: 1951-1952 f1 hood
The latch mechanism is different between the 48-50 and 51/52 models. Was that your question?

Re: 1951-1952 f1 hood
They "may" fit but they don't look at all the same, and the latch mechanism is totally different.
48-50 -- all the same 51 is unique -- 3 holes in nose, has different side and nose trim than a 52, V8 emblem on valance below hood 52 is unique -- 2 holes in nose, "FORD" on valance below, V8/6 emblem in center of nose trim piece Tho each is unique, the differences between 51 and 52 are not great.
