Roadster pickup panel cab to box
There is a sheet metal panel that goes between the cab and the box to keep the dust down. It is fastened to the frame. Does somebody have a picture as to how this piece is mounted?

Re: Roadster pickup panel cab to box
I think Ford started adding the panel between the cab and bed in 1930. I don't believe 28/29 pickups had the panel, however I could be wrong, as my wife tells me all the time.

The Mac Hills book mentions it with some pictures. My copy is not nearby and I sold my truck about 25 years ago.

Re: Roadster pickup panel cab to box
I looked at the one on my 1930 open cab and it sits on top of the splash aprons
and under the front of the bed with the front bed bolts going through the holes in the panel. Here is a link to Snyder's panel. https://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/bed-panel Bob |

On my fairly original early '31 RDPU the pan sits under the splash aprons.

Re: Roadster pickup panel cab to box
Maybe mine is wrong, makes more sense if it fits under the splash aprons.
