30 pickup top bow question
Im havin a hell of a time pulling the wood top bow back far enough to line up with the sheet metal. The bolts are loose it just doesnt want to push back far enough. Can I just start tacking, is this close enough?

Re: 30 pickup top bow question
I see the extra holes that need welded up. What piece of wood and body panel is in your picture?
The reason I ask is I'm doing my 1930 coupe top wood and I don't have anything that looks like yours? |

Re: 30 pickup top bow question
The piece of wood has to come back about a 1/4 of an inch , you might have to trim it some ,
The notch in the wood bow fits tight into the notch of the sheet metal . You really need that wood bow under the tack holes and those little ears on the back panel as that is what the finish moulding is nailed through also roof material. John Cochran |

Re: 30 pickup top bow question
As the door posts locate the the top rear bow you'd have to suspect the bow itself wouldn't you? is it a reproduction? any thing left of an original for comparison?
