Default Windshield corner brackets

I am changing the windshield frame corner brackets and find they are staked in place. Any advice on getting the brackets out would be appreciated. I’m thinking of drilling a small hole in the stakes and pulling with a screw but am open to suggestions.

if you are not concerned about the paint, take a pair of vise grips and grab a hold of the bracket. now with a torch heat up the dimple red hot and tap the vise grips with a hammer, when you put the new bracket in just reset the dimple with a punch.

Thank you jw hash
I did just paint the frame but not a big deal to do it again, I will try a pencil point tip to minimize paint damage.
Thanks again.
