Default Mud Flaps

Ok, I have heard that mud flaps were never original equipment for the Model A. What I would like to know is if anyone has ever seen flaps like the ones I have. Maybe not original but how far back would they have been available?

These were given to me for my early 30 Rdst. PU back in the 70's and I was told they were for the Model A.

If the pictures upload you can see the material looks similar to the top covering used on closed Model A's. The flap is stitched and riveted together. The two rods protruding to the L and R at the top compress against a spring inside the top of the flap and the points press against the inside of the fender holding the flap in place. They really are well made and I can't see where they would have been done by an individual.

Probably aftermarket. Can fit on just about any car. Very nice.

I wish someone would make brackets to install the mud flaps offered by the parts suppliers.

Looks like the same fabric as stretched across the roof top of the sedans and coupes.
