Let’s talk about V8 flathead head gasket
I see I the ole web there’s company’s that make various thickness composite head gaskets .
Anyone have any experience using them ? I see there gasket thickness over .100 Could be away to resurrect some of these mint vintage wall hangers . Let’s here your story !

metal gaskets are the best and most trouble free. Composite crap will stick to the head and block and make a big mess and maybe need a stick of dynamite to get the head off.

Composite gaskets are not that much of a problem with proper surface preparation and installation. I used to use various types of "goop" on head gaskets, but now use nothing more than a coating of plain ol' grease. You should use the proper sealant on the studs or bolts, though.

Do you think Best head copper gasket would gain 10 tho over the Standard sandwich head gasket compressed

I use steel with copper coat and they work fine and if you wanted to use them over again they would work.
