Default Two different types of gas gauge glass

I've noticed that I have two different type of glass for my gas gauge. One lens a magnifier and the other is flat. Is the one with the magnifier Ford or aftermarket?

The magnifying glass was used after June 1928 through mid 1929 on gauges with horizontal oval openings.

I just renewed the markings on my gage. I always reuse the magnifier glass. Guess I'm getting older.

My semi-late '31 pickup has an inner nut that is hexagonal in shape, I used a large allen wrench to holt it as I tightened the large outer nut. Semi-late means it has all the late '31 features except still has the top insert instead of being all metal.
