Default How to use KR Wilson pinion depth setting tool 4610-P?

I recently picked up a KR Wilson pinion depth tool #4610-P. Problem is, I'm not quite sure how it works. Any help or leads to instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Look in the service bulletins, I don't have them handy to give a page # though
