35 Pickup Shift Lever
Trying to find out if the 35 pickup used the "swan" type shifter as was used in the cars. Someone told me that the levers in the pickups were straight and black rather than S shaped and butler finish, but I can't find any info or pictures. Can anyone help?

Re: 35 Pickup Shift Lever
I had a 35 pick up years ago and the shifter was straight.

Re: 35 Pickup Shift Lever
35 shift levers were chrome or Butler finish while 36's were black. The lever was not straight, it was curved. I believe I have a picture I will try and post later.
UPDATE: Great picture of 36 but cannot locate on on 35. I believe they are close to the same but can't swear to it.

Re: 35 Pickup Shift Lever
The lever looks very similiar to a regular 35 car lever, but it is different. The car lever will hit the seat in 1st or top gear. The pick-up lever has less curvature. And as Lawson says, 'butler finish'.

Re: 35 Pickup Shift Lever
The 35 pickup gearshift lever is the same as the passenger car lever. Its listed as part # 48-7210 and had a butler finish. There is no difference in curvature between passenger car and pickup.
