Are rebuilding kits available for these type pumps? 56 Ford Y Block

Over the counter or even a special order at an auto parts store?

I gave up looking a couple years ago, but if you search in the Early V8 section here on FordBarn or in Hemming's Classifieds there are some folks who'll rebuild them. Ask about alcohol compatible materials.

I believe Charlie ny has the parts and rebuilds them. He's on the Ford Barn. It's possible he may just do flathead pumps though. Not sure.

Just came upon your request... I have the Fuel Pump -- NEW -- with new modern gaskets that are ethanol gas compatible -- and I can supply you with rebuilding kits , also, with ethanol gas compatible material in the fuel pump kit.....
