Thanks! I hope they can send a photo before I send payment. Has anyone used their wood kit, is the quality good? Photo of my cab bottom. Bob

Bob a word of caution on the cab wood, there are some 39's with the left over style more like a 38/39. Sometime in mid 39 the wood changed and there is 39-41 style.
I went through this with the late great Dick Spadaro, lots of left over parts used on these trucks so check your old wood with the new versions available. |

Thanks! I looked up that old post and most of the photos are lost to the Photobucket me$$. Sure do miss Dick Spadaro. I'll round up whatever pieces I had when I started to take things apart, I'd rather buy a kit than make one from scratch. Bob

Hi, If you are referring to a truck, are you referring to a 1/2 ton pickup or a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. There are no cab wood kits available for the 3/4 and 1 ton ton trucks. I have drawings for these wood pieces which I can provide (1940/1941) which is used on the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks.

Re: 1939 Ford Truck Cab Wood Kit Needed
OK, All this time I thought the same cabs were used on pickups and the big 3/4 and ton trucks. My cab was on a rack body one ton I believe, has the gas tank filler on the passenger side. I'm building a pickup with this cab, and a stock frame. Bob

Re: 1939 Ford Truck Cab Wood Kit Needed
As I understand it the cabs are all the same but the frames are different between the 1/2 ton pickups and the 3/4 ton and larger "big trucks" hence the difference in mounting blocks.

Re: 1939 Ford Truck Cab Wood Kit Needed
I have a '39 and replaced the wood. Mine did not have wood going lateral across the cab, only the frame to cab side pieces. I forget the name of the supplier that I got the wood from.
