Lightbulb Flathead 60 hp oil pan removal

I have a serious rear main oil seal leak on my 1937 60 hp flathead. Can it be repaired (new gaskets and seals) without pulling the motor? I am not sure even where to start! Anyone could shead some light it really would be appreicated.
Thanks Mike
